Advance your career with Alamos Gold as a Geotechnical Engineer in Training. This full-time role on-site emphasizes ground support design and mine inspections.
As a Geotechnical Engineer in Training, you will work directly under the Geotechnical Superintendent at Young-Davidson. Primary roles include planning mine inspections, installing instrumentation, and designing secondary ground support systems. A strong focus on safety and analytical thinking will be crucial to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute inspections in underground mines
• Create designs for cable bolt ground support
• Install and maintain instrumentation systems
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mine or Geological Engineering
• Current or future Professional Engineering Organization registration
• Familiarity with Deswik, Vulcan, or similar software
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Completion of U/G Common Core modules
