The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is actively working to hire individuals from under-represented groups, particularly people of African Nova Scotian, African Canadian and African ancestry and Mikmaw/Indigenous ancestry, and invites applicants from under-represented groups to express their interest in teaching positions for the 2026-27 school year by applying to this posting.

The local Collective Agreement between HRCE and the Nova Scotia Teachers Union supports the hiring of up to 16 candidates by way of an equity term or probationary contract.
