Join OSM Thome as an Able Seaman (AB) on board a container vessel trading worldwide. Work with an experienced crew, keeping the vessel safe, clean and ready for sea in all conditions.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Carry out mooring and unmooring operations
- Perform watchkeeping duties on deck and bridge as assigned
- Handle and maintain deck gear, ropes, wires and lashing equipment
- Assist with cargo operations and securing containers
- Undertake chipping, painting and general deck maintenance
- Follow safety procedures and take part in drills and inspections
- **Requirements**:
- Valid AB Certificate and STCW documents up to date
- Recent experience on container vessels preferred
- Valid seafarer medical certificate and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for deck work and willing to work in a multicultural crew
