Academic Psychiatrist – Mood Disorders Program

We invite applications for the full‑time faculty position of Academic Psychiatrist with appropriate experience to work in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioural Neurosciences (DPBN), McMaster University and the Mood Disorders Treatment and Research Outpatient Clinic (MDTRC) at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The MDTRC is a specialist clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton with a multidisciplinary team that includes experienced clinicians, social workers, an occupational therapist, CBT therapists (providing both individual and standardized group therapy), and experts in behavioral activation who care for individuals with mood disorders. The MDTRC has a strong focus on research and education, so experience or an interest in working within an academic environment is expected.
