Job Description
The Opportunity
Lesley University’s Department of Studio Arts is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Figure Drawing (IFINE 1656) Spring 2025 semester, T/TH: 1:15 PM - 3:45 PM, Fully in-person, on-campus.
Course Description: Students make drawings in various media based on important perceptual concepts and challenges. Most drawings are made from the nude or clothed human figure, some from the student's imagination. Emphasis is placed on developing skills needed to create sensitively observed and envisioned images and their environments. Some discussion of anatomy is covered. Slides and lectures are included.
Qualities and Capabilities- BFA required, MFA in studio arts (or related field) preferred- Preferably at least 2 years of teaching experience at the college level- Figurative/representational drawing skillsets as evidenced by a portfolio- Demonstrated advanced studio competencies and fluency in technical, conceptual, medium-specific skills specified by the c...
