Lesley University’s Graduate Department of Counseling & Psychology is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: GCOUN 7203, Human Sexuality. Wednesdays 1-3:30 pm. Fully in-person, on-campus.
Course Description: This course examines human anatomy and sexual functioning as well as current research on sexual orientation, gender identity and variance, and gender role theory. The course covers psychosexual development, sexual disorders, and the impact of sexual trauma, body image and shame. Students will participate in a research project and will analyze sexuality in the context of historical, economic, and cultural/socio-political perspectives.
Qualities and Capabilities- Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field, or a relevant terminal doctoral degree; relevant teaching experience is preferred; relevant professional licensure required;- Commitment to integrating social justice practices into the curriculum
