Under the supervision of the Manager of Operations and Transportation with guidance and on-the-job-training from a designated journeyperson, the Mechanic Apprentice will learn to perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, alterations and modifications of district school buses, vehicles and grounds-keeping equipment within the current scope of their apprenticeship level.Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and minor repair of district buses, fleet vehicles and other equipment utilizing a variety of tools, hoists, floor jacks and materials.
