Assistant Fire Chief of Training

Reporting to the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations, the Assistant Fire Chief of Training is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the firefighter training programs. This role leads and manages department training initiatives, uses data and performance metrics to evaluate and report on training program effectiveness and operational readiness, ensures training programs are current and effective, aligns them with other Westshore Fire Departments, and focuses on firefighter safety.

As the Assistant Chief of Training, you will act as a liaison with external agencies, regulatory bodies, regional partners, representing the department on training initiatives, committees, and interagency programs.
