Title: Underwriting Assistant

The Underwriting Assistant will work closely with the underwriting team to streamline the policy issuance and renewal process. This role focuses on maintaining efficient day-to-day workflows of information and policy documents and providing exceptional service to agents and clients. The Underwriting Assistant will work under the guidance of staff underwriters and will be expected to perform the following tasks including but not limited to:

• Assist staff underwriters in processing new and renewal applications, issue policies, produce certificates of insurance, gather underwriting data., and professionally correspond with Agents.
• Prepare renewal notices to agents via e-mail.
• Process policy endorsements using policy management system as directed by staff underwriters. Training on use of policy management system will be provided.
