Backend Engineer, Core Sending

Resend is growing fast, and there are now over 1 million developers using it. In the Core Sending team, we are responsible for building and maintaining the core components that handle sending transactional and marketing emails.

This role is fully remote-based in UTC-5 to UTC0 time zones, with some expected travel for team off‑sites, conferences, meetups, and more.

Responsibilities

• Help define the architecture to support millions of daily API requests
• Build and scale infrastructure to send dozens of millions of emails per day
• Improve high availability across distributed applications
• Scale databases like Postgres and Clickhouse to ensure performance
• Enhance observability using monitoring tools such as Datadog
• Refine disaster recovery plans for quick & reliable recovery
