The General Services Waiter is an entry-level professional responsible for performing support tasks to ensure a positive dining experience, in coordination with the Corporate Services function. The overall objective is to work as part of a team to engage customers, complete tasks efficiently and accurately, and mitigate potential issues and customer complaints.
Responsibilities
Greet and serve customers, provide detailed information on menus, perform front‐of‐the‐house duties and collect the bill
Provide detailed menu information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
Inform customers about the day's specials and offer menu recommendations upon request; pp‐sell additional products when appropriate
Take accurate food and drinks orders, using ordering software, order slips or by memorization
