Chief Engineer

About the position

CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Chief Engineer to join our transhipment operation in Western Australia. Reporting to the Master, the Chief Engineer is the head of the Engine Department.

• The safe/efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard.
• Supervising all Engineering Officers, while adhering to budgets and purchasing procedures of the Company.
• Safeguarding the Overs’ and Company’s interest at all times.
• Assisting the Chief Officer in the operation of the ship’s cargo equipment.
• Keeping the Chief Officer advised of any bunker, lubricating oils or sludge transfers which may affect the ship’s trim, stress and/or stability.

About you

• Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer class 1 (required)
• AMSA Chief Engineer (Class 1) CoC/CoR Unlimited
