Job Description

Individual contributor responsible for the overall management of highly complex Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims. Recognized as a technical expert in the interpretation of complex or unusual policy coverages within the CGL line. Works within assigned limits of broad authority on assignments requiring a high degree of technical complexity, judgment, and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manages highly complex CGL claim investigations, including coverage issues, liability, compensability, and damages.
• Determines when claims should be settled or litigated and implements appropriate resolution strategies.
• Effectively manages loss costs and claim expenses.
• Manages all aspects of investigative activity or litigation on major CGL claims, including timely and appropriate reserving.
• Coordinates discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel and panel attorneys.
