- Material-related, worldwide procurement market management
- Responsibility for daily operations and data quality in the assigned material field of sintering business
- Independent management (mentoring) of assigned suppliers, i.e.,
- Planning and execution of price negotiations
- Contract management
- Supplier management and evaluation
- Escalation level for Q/L problems
- Insolvency management
- Capacity assurance
- Plausibility checks of purchase prices through cross-comparisons of part prices and cost structure analyses
- Identification and monitoring of efficiency potentials for cost optimization and strategic alignment
- Budget responsibility (including tools, sampling, and the bid process)
- Independent development and implementation of part family and supplier strategies, including making relevant award decisions
