Capital Assets

• Preparing the working papers and capitalizing the various assets monthly and preparing capex report.
• Preparing working papers and capitalizing POS items.
• Recording accruals for Capital work in progress and supporting coding of invoices in iverify.
• Executing the monthly depreciation runs in SAP.
• Performing the disposals in the system when necessary and supporting the annual impairment process.
• Preparing Schedule 8 for Tax Reporting of Capital Cost Allowance (CCA).
• Participating in monthly capex meetings with Controlling and Operations.
• Preparing and submitting Stat Canada Capex Surveys.

Taxes (VAT, Income Tax, Ecology)

• VAT – Preparing various provincial and federal government VAT filings (HST / QST / PST).
• Income Tax – Preparing and submitting monthly compliances - Corp tax payments, WHT payments.
