About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and engaging Developmental Support Worker or Caregiver/Companion to support a young male client with autism . The client experiences social anxiety and is looking for someone who can help him build confidence and enjoy social and recreational activities in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Engage the client in enjoyable community outings and activities such as: Going to the movies, the mall, or the arcade
• Grabbing a tea or coffee and chatting
• Supporting participation in leisure and social activities
• Provide gentle encouragement and emotional support to help reduce social anxiety.
• Promote independence, social skills, and a positive self-image through meaningful interactions.
• Maintain professionalism, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
