The Nanotechnology Research Group conducts interdisciplinary research in the field of fluidic self-assembly of microscopic components. Fluidic self-assembly is the surface-tension-controlled assembly of microscopic chips, including LEDs and transistors, onto rigid and flexible printed circuit boards. To achieve self-assembly, receptors made of liquid solder are fabricated on various substrates and placed in an aqueous environment.
