About Us

Manitoulin‑Sudbury District Services Board (DSB) is a provincial government‑created agency responsible for overseeing and managing a range of services devolved to the municipal level, including Ontario Works, Community Housing, Paramedic Services (Land Ambulance), Non‑Urgent Patient Transportation, and Early Learning and Child Care Services.

Our Team

The DSB is comprised of 14 board members and has served the community for 25 years. It operates through three main departments—Integrated Human Services, Paramedic Services, and Administration—and employs over 200 staff to cover a geographic area of 45,000 square kilometres. The board manages annual budgets exceeding $50 million and is committed to delivering effective, fair, and safe community services.
