The Opportunity

As a member of the facility's Food Safety and Quality Assurance team, the FSQA Coordinator is responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance, ongoing review, and continuous improvement of Food Safety and Quality Programs at the McLeod plant. Operating with a sense of urgency, the FSQA Coordinator initiates immediate corrective actions, positively influences others, improves the Food Safety and Quality Culture, and escalates FSQA concerns as required.

Snapshot of a Day‑in‑the‑Life

• Perform and/or assist in daily quality and food safety related decision making based on established processes to ensure products meet the quality standards and food safety requirements of Maple Leaf Foods and its customers.
• Lead the day‑to‑day management of the plant’s complaint, hold, and release, and non‑conformance programs.
• Perform daily monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in the HACCP system.
