Job Description
Overview
Ward 31 is a 23‑bedded dedicated fracture neck of femur ward and is the only ward of its kind in Scotland. It is a busy, forward‑thinking ward within a diverse directorate, working collaboratively across the Orthopaedic Department. Our patient population is predominantly frail and elderly, many experiencing delirium, dementia and a range of acute medical conditions alongside complex orthopaedic needs. Delivering high‑quality, compassionate, and person‑centred care is central to the work of the ward.
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality, compassionate, and person‑centred care in a busy, multidisciplinary environment.
Work rotational shift, covering day and night duty in line with service needs.
Deliver care to a largely frail, elderly population with delirium, dementia and complex orthopaedic needs.
Work effectively under pressure and cope with competing demands of a busy acute ward environment.
