Job Description

BA Blacktop is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to lead and advance the ongoing development and implementation of our Health & Safety Management System.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the corporate Safety Management Systems 
  • Ensure OSH Program complies with current OSH legislation, regulations and industry codes of practice
  • Interview, hire, and manage H&S department representatives
  • Review or develop site-specific safety plans, orientations, safe work practices, and procedures
  • Oversee the administration of the Injury Management Program for injured workers with medical restrictions
  • Review or conduct accident/incident investigations
  • Review or conduct site-specific inspections
  • Review or conduct site-specific audits
  • Oversee the distribution and/or development of the Weekly Safety Meeting Topics, Near Miss Reviews, S...
