Overview

Cariboo Memorial Hospital is expanding its Internal Medicine (IM) team to better meet community needs. The General Internist will work in a collegial, well‑supported environment, alongside a dedicated surgical team, a busy emergency department (approximately 25,000 visits annually), and a strong network of full‑service family physicians. The role is located in Williams Lake and is part of an evolving IM program.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care and oversee the 4‑bed High Acuity Unit (HAU).
• Deliver consults in the emergency department and participate in after‑hours call on a 1:4 rotation covering the HAU and ER.
• Manage clinic patients during scheduled hours (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and support Rapid Access clinic access.
• Engage in teaching opportunities for medical education; research is optional and can be supported when desired.
