Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a Janitor/Utility include, but are not limited to:

  • Snow removal and maintenance of assigned areas
  • Removes debris and maintains cleanliness of the site and surrounding area
  • Maintains cleanliness of recreation rooms and hallways
  • Strip and wax floors as scheduled
  • Scrubs boot room/entrance way to remove dirt and washes boot trays, overhead racks, splash guards, doors (inside and out), windows, curtains, ceiling and walls
  • Removes/burns garbage and disinfects containers
  • Cleans ashtrays daily
  • Ensure work areas are safe from hazards
  • Report any damage, theft and abandoned articles to the Supervisor
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company safe work practices and standard operating procedures
  • Use company motor vehicles as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
