Job Description

Embedded Competency Center is seeking a talented Lab Engineer to help accelerate development of high-quality smart home products. The candidate will support testing and prototyping requests as well as help us scale the services offered by our client’s hardware lab.

Your role
  • Conduct electrical components and sub-assemblies validation and field failure analysis and hardware validation
  • Create and maintain lab work instructions and test procedures
  • Assist in prototyping and test fixture development
  • Work with Firmware Engineers to bring up new hardware and debug designs
    • Your skills
  • At least 3 years of lab or testing experience
  • Familiarity with consumer electronic devices, lab equipment, environmental testing, and component reliability
  • Knowledge of network issues (wireshark, configuration of switches, WiFi) 
  • Hands-on Linux (command line usage)
  • Experience testing hardware products
