Job Description

Title: Legal Student Intern (Summer 2026) 

Reports To: Senior Legal Counsel

Position Summary: The Legal Student Intern will be responsible for assisting the Senior Legal Counsel in matters relating to corporate, commercial, securities, and real estate transactions and compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Legal Counsel with the overall management of the legal function and legal affairs of CAPREIT and its affiliates
  • Respond to a variety of legal requests from internal clients, communicating legal concepts to the business in a manner that is easy to understand
  • Work with the Senior Legal Counsel to support the Investment Department and the Chief Investment Officer to negotiate, manage, and close real estate transactions
  • Provide support to the Senior Legal Counsel as needed to review and draft contracts to support the operations and corporate services departments
