Job Description

Under the direction of the Chief Planner and Director, Planning & Building Services, the Manager, Development Services leads the Town’s development review and approvals functions, ensuring effective implementation of planning policies and Council direction. The role oversees all development applications including Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments, draft plans of subdivision and condominium, site plan applications, land‑use compliance, and heritage planning. Provides planning advice, and prepares reports for Committee of the Whole, Council and the Committee of Adjustment ensuring compliance with municipal and provincial policy and legislation. The position plays a key role in advancing growth management, policy implementation, and service excellence in the development approvals process.

Post‑secondary degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline.
