The Material Testing Technician works closely with the Materials Team in Calgary, partnering on civil construction projects across construction, transport, and environmental sectors.

Responsibilities

• Field testing of civil construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt
• Learn about construction equipment, sequencing, and drawings
• Compaction testing of soils, aggregates and asphalt
• Concrete testing; casting cylinders and performing slump and air measurements
• Asphalt testing; Marshall analysis, pavement coring, and onsite sampling
• Preparing daily test summary report
• Technicians will be provided with a company truck
• Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology is an asset
• Construction experience would be considered an asset
