Job Description
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ In summer, responsible for day-to-day shop operations. In winter, responsible for the operation and supervision of the winter-over operations of the MEC.
+ Responsible for the maintenance and repair of, but not limited to, snowmobiles, ATVs, and/or maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel generators, up to 100kw in size, and portable gasoline and diesel heaters, ice drills, chainsaws, and other small equipment.
+ May be required to perform TDY in the Denver headquarters office in preparation for upcoming field seasons.
+ Provides direct supervision of maintenance and operations activities on all winter-over activities within the MEC. Provides direction to floor mechanics on a day-to-day basis during the Austral summer while working under the Supervisor MEC.
+ Provides direct supervision of all MEC mechanics, in the absence of the Supervisor of MEC, including the handling of personnel issues.
