Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an integral member of the Laboratory team the Medical Laboratory Technologist responsibilities include:

  • participating in technical, professional and quality in-services and education
  • participating in staff and patient experience and feedback initiatives, professional development, teaching/ educational activities, safety and quality improvement programs to ensure excellence in the provision of services;
  • reading and confirming reading and understanding laboratory policies and procedures through document control software
  • forwarding suggestions for policy and procedure improvement or corrections required to the Charge or Team Leader.
  • performing laboratory procedures for specific discipline(s) and functions and ensuring the completion of assigned workload;
