Overview

Covering for a maternity leave, the Quality Assurance (QA) Technologist III is a member of a two-person team responsible for coordinating equipment performance testing, safety inspections and preventative maintenance activities for all Diagnostic Imaging (DI) areas of the Misericordia and Grey Nuns Community Hospitals.

The QA Technologist ensures image capture and image viewing devices are configured according to protocol and are functioning optimally to produce consistent, high-quality images while minimizing radiation dose to patients and staff.

The QA Team provides radiation dose monitoring, training and orientation of staff regarding radiation safety, and is responsible for departmental compliance with Canadian radiation protection legislation and Safety Codes.
