Job Description

MQ admin role

Dublin

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and administer MQ queue managers on Linux/Unix.
  • Manage queues, channels, listeners, clustering, and high availability setups.
  • Implement and maintain MQ security (TLS, certificates, CHLAUTH).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot channel failures, queue depth issues, and performance problems.
  • Perform capacity planning, DR testing, and platform automation.
  • Support event broker platforms (, Kafka/Solace) from an infrastructure perspective.
  • Define and enforce messaging platform standards and operational best practices.
  • Required Skills
  • 6- 8+ years MQ administration (distributed environments).
  • Strong knowledge of MQ clustering, security, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Linux, scripting/automation (Shell/Ansible/Python).
  • Familiarity with event-driven platforms or event brokers.
