The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive clinical care to patients in designated service or program areas. The NP partners with and complements other members of the health care team for person- and family-centered care. The NP, as the most responsible healthcare provider (MRHCP), works autonomously to diagnose, order and interpret laboratory tests, order and interpret reports of diagnostic imaging investigations, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures.
