OSP Fiber Optic Technician

Seletech is seeking experienced Fiber Optic Splicers to join our team. Working out of our Calgary office, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, splicing and testing of fiber optic cables. We are seeking someone with time management, communication, and customer service skills. Team oriented as well as taking pride in all aspects of work is an asset.

Candidate must be located in Calgary or surrounding area

Responsibilities

• Ribbon and Loose Tube Fibre splicing.
• Confidently build new FOSC’s as well as enter existing facilities.
• Capable of troubleshooting alignment issues and basic technical problems.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and blueprints.
• Pull/Prepare/place underground cables in existing conduit systems.
• Maintain company equipment in excellent condition.
