Play a crucial role in patient care as a part-time Lab Patient Technician. Oversee the specimen collection process, ensuring patient comfort and proper handling of samples for transport.
This position supports patient interactions at the Almonte location, requiring you to greet patients, perform essential testing, and accurately prepare specimens. You'll not only manage inquiries but also maintain important client relationships while ensuring the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Register patients and explain the collection process
• Conduct phlebotomy and ECG procedures
• Manage special test collections with detailed documentation
• Address client inquiries and maintain strong relationships
• Enter patient data and requisition information accurately
Requirements:
• Completion of an approved Laboratory Assistant program
• Experience with phlebotomy and ECG preferred
• Good computer skills with at least 40 wpm typing
