+ This is an hourly, seasonal position within the Public Safety Department at Monroe Community College responsible for protection of life and property, prevention of crime or violations of the College Code of Conduct, and identification of offenders. The employee works under the general supervision of the Chief of Public Safety and reports directly to a Campus Peace Officer Supervisor.

+ Patrols an assigned area within MCC Bookstore to ensure the safety of persons and property;

+ Makes regular reports of events occurring during assigned shift or detail;

+ Assumes duty at an assigned post, investigates complaints and disturbances, and may assist in apprehending violators at the direction of campus peace officers;

+ Performs special assignments as required;

+ Testifies in court as necessary.
