Shift: Various – Weekdays, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Weekends, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Training Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a month.

Responsibilities:

• Perform gross examinations of surgical specimens, select, dissect, and prepare tissue sections for further processing and examination.
• Embed tissue in tissue block.
• Provide accurate and efficient gross descriptions and document gross findings in accordance with laboratory manuals, procedures, and protocols.
• Review provided clinical history.
• Use positive patient identification to ensure that all requisitions and worksheets (electronic or paper), specimens, and portions are traceable....
