Job Description

Duties

:
  • Build strong, empathetic, and professional relationships with individuals, families, peers, service providers, and community partners while representing The Royal with professionalism.
  • Establish rapport and provide one‑to‑one peer support to individuals of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, helping them pursue recovery, self‑determination, empowerment, and personal goals.
  • Draw on lived experience with mental health, substance use, and forensic issues to provide insight, advocacy support, and perspective-sharing in a way that aligns with peer support values.
  • Support individuals in navigating services, advocating for themselves, and accessing community resources such as housing, employment, education, recreation, transportation, and health services.
  • Attend case conferences at the individual’s request and ensure their perspective is represented in program design, planning, curriculum development, policy discussio...
