Detailed Overview

Assists the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians by measuring, packaging, compounding and distributing various drugs and medication; maintains related records, stock levels and performs various clerical duties, as assigned. Responsibilities Counts or measures and fills medication containers or unit dose packages; compounds medications such as lotions, ointments and creams for inspection; distributes checked and/or verified medications to patient care units, as required or directed. Pre-packages oral, liquid, topical and mini-bag with integrated vial assembly medications into unit-of-use format and maintains related records. Delivers ward supplies and other stock requirements; maintains inventory and wardstock levels; fills wardstock and narcotic requisitions; distributes medications and maintains relevant inventory, wardstock and inventory records.
