Detailed Overview

Assists the Pharmacists by measuring, packaging, compounding and distributing various drugs and medications; maintains related records, stock levels and performs various clerical duties, as assigned. Responsibilities Assists with drug dispensing by entering orders, counting/measuring and filling medication containers or unit dose packages; compounds medications such as lotions, ointments and creams for inspection and distribution; distributes drugs authorized by the pharmacist and maintains inventory records. Pre-packages oral, liquid, topical and mini-bag with integrated vial assembly medications into unit-of-use format and maintains related records. Checks and delivers ward supplies and other stock requirements; maintains inventory and wardstock levels; fills wardstock and narcotic requisitions; distributes medications and maintains relevant inventory, wardstock and inventory records.
