PhD Fellow – Vascular Biology Research Group (VBRG)

The PhD position is for the project Targeting endothelial fenestrations for healthy ageing within the VBRG at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The post lasts four years, with three years focused on research and one year distributed 25% each year for teaching and other duties. Admission to the PhD programme is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experimental work on endothelial fenestrations in ageing, using advanced microscopy (light and electron), super‑resolution optical imaging, cell and molecular biology techniques, and research animals.
• Collaborate with other researchers and supervise master’s and bachelor’s students.
• Analyze data, perform image segmentation, classification, bioinformatics and cellular assays.
• Document findings and contribute to scientific writing and publication. <...
