Job Description
Position description Maintain and service high and low Pressure steam distribution systems, condensate return systems, steam traps and compressed air systems. Duties include the maintenance and service of mechanical systems by: Assist in the removal and prefabrication of piping; Repair steam traps, control valves, valves and strainers; Energize and de-energize steam mains as required for service purposes; Perform regular boiler maintenance which includes routine maintenance, minor repairs and maintenance on associated boiler equipment. Maintain a daily equipment log sheet and mandatory department of labour log book. Report major equipment problems to the Manager of Technical Services. Respond promptly to emergencies when on call.
