Vår Energi is seeking an experienced explorationist to join our exploration team in either our Stavanger or Oslo office.
The Experienced Explorationist is responsible for identifying and maturing exploration prospects for licensing rounds/license work and additionally evaluating business development opportunities.
**Key responsibilities**:
As a high-end contributor in a multi-disciplinary team you will perform, lead and deliver the Geoscience components of integrated subsurface studies to drive and support business decisions. Assignments can involve combinations of the following:
- Perform a holistic characterisation of hydrocarbon systems, in terms of individual play elements at regional, basin, and prospect scales
- Play a key role in Vår Energi’s participation in concession rounds and licence evaluation
- Generate and develop new ideas and new exploration concepts
- Maturation of leads and prospects including subsurface risk estimation and volume calculation
