About the Role
Reporting to the Lead of Inbound Maritime, the Principal Inbound Maritime plays a critical role in enabling the inbound maritime team to operate in a well‑governed and efficient manner. This role provides expert supply chain and maritime logistics advice to the business, supporting the optimisation of international inbound freight decisions to deliver bottom‑line cost savings while maintaining a strong risk lens. You will work closely with Procurement and key stakeholders to influence freight choices during the sourcing of goods, ensuring safe, efficient, and value‑driven outcomes across the end‑to‑end inbound supply chain. This role requires strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex, global logistics environments while supporting BHP’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
