Job Description
Procurement Officer
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, this Procurement Officer provides value‑added purchasing services to the college. The role includes the efficient and cost‑effective procurement of goods, services, and construction contracts along with the disposal of obsolete or surplus assets. The officer must deliver a high standard of customer service, build strong working relationships with faculty and administrative units, monitor market changes, and lead projects to achieve departmental and college goals.
Responsibilities
- Plans, coordinates, and delivers on the procurement of goods, services, and construction requirements for Okanagan College.
- Performs complex purchasing assignments such as those related to capital projects under the MMCD contract.
- Determines the appropriate procurement process (e.g., Quotation requests, tenders, RFx, etc.) to secure the best value.
