Job Summary and Responsibilities
Greets patient utilizing AIDET, verifies patient in identification, reviews chart for proper radiation treatment parameters and physician prescriptions Informs patients and families about the treatment process and answers questions Prepares patients for treatment. Positions equipment according to plan Takes portal films or IGRT scans to ensure treatment protocols are accurately set up and followed Verifies proper dosage of ionizing radiation for patient as prescribed by physician Administers treatment to patient Monitors patient throughout treatment process by checking video monitors and intercom Informs physician anytime patient experiences distress or side effects related to treatment process Records each patients’ treatment in EMR and proper notes for accu...
