This position reports to the Manager and/or designate and is responsible for providing quality care on the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Unit. Duties are designated by role in recovery or procedure rooms. In recovery duties include pre‑admission history, medication reconciliation, IV initiation and pre‑procedural orders, recovery post procedure, performing any medical directions and discharge teaching. Procedural rooms duties include, but are not limited to room and scope preparation, medication preparation, procedural sedation administration, assisting MD with procedure (biopsy, snares, gluing), patient positioning and traction, recovery after procedure and transfer to recovery. Current hours of operation are Monday to Friday: 0700 - 1800 and may change to meet operational requirements.
