Researcher in Materials Physics for Solar Energy Applications

About the Position
The position is a 12-month research fellow with potential for extension, starting preferably on 1 September 2026, at SMN in Gaustad, Oslo. The role focuses on the explorative discovery of novel semiconducting materials for solar-energy harvesting using combinatorial materials science. Tasks include realising spatially-addressable material libraries by pulsed laser deposition, applying high-throughput characterisation techniques, and integrating promising materials into photovoltaic or photo-electrochemical demonstrator devices. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team within SMN and the SOLARIS flagship project.
