Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The HSE advisor is the site staff point of contact for Canadian Plainsβ Health, Safety and Environment program. Responsibilities include organizing and leading regular safety meetings, managing on-site safety card program, training staff on proper safety programs and procedures, performing site inspections, and maintaining relevant documentation. As HSE Advisor, responsibilities include supporting specific sites and/or larger field projects.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Communication and Development
- Assist operations management and employees with HSEMS and Safe Work Manuals.
- Develop and test emergency response plans (ERP) and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP).
- Work with manager and superintendent on daily basis to coordinate activities such as SSSPs, pre-job HIACs, site visits/inspections, incident reports, and other daily HSE matters.
