Job Description
Teach aspiring educators as a Course Lecturer in Elementary School Science (EDEE 270-003) at McGill University. Share your expertise in science education in a dedicated classroom setting every Wednesday.
The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill seeks a passionate educator committed to teaching vital concepts in elementary science. In this part-time role, you will engage in interactive instruction while guiding pre-service teachers to explore scientific principles. Applicants must hold a Master's degree or equivalent and have extensive experience teaching science to younger audiences in Quebec. Responsibilities also include managing teaching assistants and facilitating planning meetings prior to the course.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead EDEE 270-003 in science pedagogy
β’ Coordinate and support teaching assistants during labs
β’ Attend relevant course planning meetings two weeks prior
β’ Guide students in exploring environmental science concepts
