Job Description
Helse Sør-øst RHF
**Scientist**:
Offentlig forvaltning
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist for a 6-month position (80% employment) in the group of Assoc. Prof. Kay Oliver Schink. The position is based at the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Institute for Cancer Research (OUS, Radiumhospitalet).
The position is part of an ongoing effort to understand how cancer cells regulate macropinocytosis - a form of nutrient uptake via large endocytic vesicles - and how vesicle identity is established and maintained. Our recent study (Spangenberg et al., bioRxiv 2021) uncovered a phosphoinositide and RAB GTPase switch that determines the fate of macropinosomes.
- Identifying molecular regulators of the RAB/phosphoinositide switch in early macropinocytosis.
- Investigating how defects in vesicle maturation contribute to altered membrane recycling or invasion in cancer cells.
**Kvalifikasjoner**:
- PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or a cl...
